your thoughts > Wonderful Work

Hi!

Just wanted to stop by here and say I love your photography! I'm fellow Twitter Follower, and enjoy when you have new posts.

I've been interested in Photography for many years. I grew up in a household where my father has a Dark Room to develop film. I'm thinking about pursing Photography as a hobby (mainly animals and children) but not quite sure which camera to go with. The Cannon G11 is what many people have recommended, but I would love to have your opinion.

Would you consider doing pet Photography?

Alright, I know you do Pet Photography...what I meant to ask was what kind of camera do you recommend for it? Sorry for the confusion! :-)

Erin - sorry it took me so long to reply!!!

The G11 is a nice camera, you might like the versatility of a DSLR over that point and shoot. Speed would be important and that is a nice fast camera but I would suggest a DSLR for many reasons...one is the cameras now have a built video mode for capturing hi-def recordings ...second...the interchanging of lens's lets your camera grow as you grow. My husband bought the T2i from Canon. it's a great little camera, the T1i is also very well made and does a lot that most DSLR's couldn't before.

If you want just a Photo Camera and dont care about video at all...the XTi or XSi are decent choices!
